Automate Workflow with Taskade’s AI Agent

Choosing the Right Task for Your AI Agent

Before you jump into building an AI agent, it’s important to determine what tasks you want your agent to perform. Taskade offers endless possibilities, so selecting the right use case is key to maximizing efficiency.

Here are a few different uses for Taskade AI agents and how they can transform your workflow:

  1. Automate Routine Task - Taskade AI agents handle repetitive tasks like scheduling, reminders, and creating task lists, saving time and reducing errors. Perfect for daily admin needs.

  2. Boost Creativity - Use Taskade AI for fresh ideas on campaigns, product names, or strategies. Just set parameters, and it generates inspiration to jumpstart brainstorming.

  3. Streamline Collaboration - Taskade AI agents simplify team management by automating assignments, tracking deadlines, and balancing workloads, ensuring smooth project flow.

Example: A student could use Taskade AI as a writing assistant for refining essays and generating unique ideas for college applications.

Designing Your AI Agent in Taskade

Once you’ve chosen a specific task or set of tasks for your AI agent, the next step is designing and configuring the agent within Taskade.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating your own personalized AI assistant:

1. Define Your Agent’s Purpose and Goals

The first step in designing your AI agent is clearly defining what you want it to accomplish. What is the agent’s primary purpose? Is it managing repetitive tasks, brainstorming ideas, or tracking project progress? Narrowing down its role will help you set up the correct workflows and ensure the AI functions effectively.

Example:

“I want my agent to be able to read and refine my college essay, giving me further feedback for improvement and suggestions for anything I need to change.”

2. Create

Next, you’ll want to actually create the agent on Taskade. Open your workspace and click   “+ Create New”. You have two options to pick from:

  • Use pre-built templates - Search for your idea across Taskade’s template library; Automatically codes and designates commands/instructions for your AI Agent.

  • You can create your own - To make the best, most well-tailored Agent to your specific needs, try making your own through the simple, “Generate with AI” option.

3. Write Out Your Prompt

Once you have selected “Generate with AI”, it prompts the following screen:

Just like it says, write out exactly what you want your AI Agent to do.

Tip: Be as specific as possible

  • Use your ideas from Step #1, and elaborate on them further.

Tip: Give an example

  • Helps the program see exactly what you’re looking for.

Example:

Taskade will do the rest. Its simplicity makes it easy for almost everyone to use. After inputting your prompt, you will be presented with a skeleton for your AI Agent. This skeleton will have a name, revised instructions page, commands, and tools for your agent. Feel free to adjust/or make any changes you feel fit. Once finished, click “Create and Launch Agent”.

4. Educate/Integrate it

Just like a human, your AI Agent needs to learn. You have to feed it information so that it understands what’s being asked of it, and provides the best possible response.

Only applies to some AI Agent Use Cases

  • Agents that perform creative work are typically in need of training, while ones that simply perform a repetitive, monotonous task are fine without.

After creating you agent, click on the “Knowledge” tab; “Train your AI Agents with dynamic knowledge from projects, web links, documents, and more.”

Click “Enable Knowledge”.

Next, find study resources! Look online for articles, websites, blogs that could help the AI learn what to do.

Example:

Here, I used articles from credible sources (eg. Harvard Summer School, The College Essay Guy, The Princeton Review), giving the AI Agent a better scope of understanding when it comes to going about writing, editing, and developing College Essays, as they are different from just regular essay-writing.

5. Share your Project for the World to See

If your AI Agent isn’t made just for use, but rather intended to be available to the public, Taskade makes the sharing process extremely simple and efficient. Switch over to the “Share and Embed” Tab inside of your project. Here you must switch on “Public access”.

Here, it will give you a link you can use to share your final product, whether it be on a website, a dashboard, or direct sharing!

6. Review Analytics and Optimize Performance

As your AI agent begins working, you’ll want to monitor its performance and make adjustments as needed. Test out your product. Use it as much as you can. Adjust your commands, prompt, and training as you see fit.

Conclusion

Congratulations! You've now learned the steps to create your own AI agent in Taskade, capable of streamlining workflows, sparking creativity, and enhancing team collaboration. Whether you’re automating routine tasks or managing complex projects, your Taskade AI agent is a powerful tool to help you work smarter and achieve more. Take some time to refine its prompts and train it with relevant resources to maximize its potential.
